Purple Clay is a type of ceramic which has been widely used in making of pottery and its origin can be traced to Song Dynasty. It unglazed surface may absorbs the beverage and create a more tasteful drink. Due to it is a composition of minerals, its performance in keeping the beverages warm is slightly low compared to stainless-steel thermal flask. The natural minerals in purple clay also help to alkalize the water and brings benefits to the users. Just like the old Chinese love to use purple clay to make the pottery, our purple clay bamboo thermal flask serves your tea better with its natural compositions. In fact, experts recommend to not use detergent to clean up the purple clay products to avoid the chemicals reactions between the detergent and minerals. Some hot water is good enough to clean up the dirt in the flask.

Stainless Steel Bamboo Thermal Flask

Among the two types of thermal flask, the stainless-steel liner flask is more favorable by our customers for its long duration in keeping your beverage hot/cold. Made up of 304 grade stainless steel which is the recommended material in making food containers, you have no worries about BPA when you are consuming the hot drinks. The vacuum between the two layers of stainless steel can enhance the durability of the temperature of your drinks.

Here are some tips in maintaining your stainless-steel flask:

  • Beware of your cleansing tools

Be careful in choosing the tools to clean the stainless-steel flask. The surface of the stainless-steel might be scratched due to the hardness of the cleansing tool. Once the thin layer of Chromium Oxide on the stainless-steel was scratched, your bottle might be rusting and corrode in a faster pace.

  • Make sure it is dry before you store it

It is important to make sure you check the dryness of the thermal flask after the cleansing routine. Users need to wipe off the water or place the thermal flask in a ventilated place to avoid the water particles react with the materials of stainless-steel. As iron is one of the materials, water might fasten the oxidation process. Please ensure you keep the thermal flask in a dry place instead of places with high humidity.

  • Avoid acidic materials

Try to avoid to use the thermal flask to keep the acidic food or drinks. The low pH value of the substances has strong permeability and it increases the chances for the oxidation and corrosion process. For instance, concentrated lemon juice, salt water or soy sauce is not recommended to be kept using the thermal flask. You might be surprise milk is not suitable to be kept in the stainless-steel thermal flask. Lactate in the milk is also acidic based and keeping the milk under high temperature might cause the bacterial to increase and cause the milk to spoil.

  • Left some space for your bottle

Left adequate spaces for the thermal flask when you are pouring your drinks. Do not pour a full bottle of drinks as the pressure in the bottle might increase/decrease tremendously according to the drinks temperature. It is also a safer way to avoid the leakage caused by the change in pressure when you open the thermal flask.

  • Handle with care

Avoid dropping your thermal flask as the force might cause the stainless-steel layer to crack. Once the stainless-steel layer is cracked, the vacuum layer will no longer exist as the air will goes in through the cracks. Absence of the vacuum layer might cause your thermal flask not longer effective in keep your drinks hot/cold as vacuum layer serves as a layer that store the heat in the thermal flask.

Lastly, since our thermal flask is made up of bamboo, many customers of us is worrying the durability of the bamboo. We have applied a protective layer on the bamboo itself to increase its ability in resisting water. As long as the bamboo thermal flask is placed in a ventilated and cool place and not exposed under hot sun, the bamboo layer will be maintained and will not rot/mold.
